More than £40,000 worth of jewellery has been stolen in two burglaries in Wiltshire.

Wiltshire Police said a property in Nettleton was broken into between 15:15 and 16:30 BST on Tuesday.

Earlier in the same day, occupants of a house on Box Hill, Corsham, returned home to find that they had been burgled sometime between 12:00 and 18:10.

Jewellery of sentimental value had been taken and a "messy search" carried out, police said.
